Paint Recycling Event

. . .AND a way to help Avondale Elementary School! As you are cleaning out for the yard sale and see those old cans of paint you’ve been meaning to get rid of, here is a golden opportunity for you.

Put those old cans aside for recycling!

Rather than buying 14 boxes of cat litter, opening each can, stirring in the litter, and then waiting to see if that was enough to dry up the paint sufficiently so you can get rid of it, here is an easier way.

8 Lakeshore Drive, Avondale Estates, GA 30002
Saturday, April 29, 2017
9 am – 1 pm

Take paint cans to the circular drive behind the school, pay the fee and just leave them behind. And you’re done. It’s that easy!

The school will make a small amount of money on each recycled can of paint. Later, other nonprofits will benefit by receiving recycled paint for projects, and you also helped the environment and the school. Sounds like a win/win/win.

Here are the fees the recycling company charges:

Other good reasons to recycle the paint: All of the paint ends up in our facility in Lithia Springs, Georgia where we separate, bulk, and filter the paint to turn it into a quality, reusable paint product that can be then donated back to communities right here in our state for beautification projects. The City of Atlanta presented us with a Proclamation in June 2013 for our ongoing support of the Graffiti Task Force as well as our support of artist along the Beltline. March 2014 we made our largest donation to date while working with the Calhoun Women’s Club to distribute quality paint to nonprofits throughout Northwest Georgia, including Habitat for Humanity, Salvation Armies, Boys and Girls Clubs, United Ways, schools and churches.
