Hello AES community,

As you may have heard, a bad fire swept through the Pine Tree Circle apartments last night, displacing several families. Many lost everything except their pajamas. Principal Andrews was on the scene early. We are researching addresses to see exactly how many AES families were impacted, but Dr. Andrews has identified at least 12 students.

We are collecting school uniforms, shoes, coats, new socks and underwear, gift cards for Walmart, Target and other stores.

Funds will go directly to families impacted by the fire. Donations will be deposited in the Avondale Elementary School Education Fund bank account, and the school’s administration team, including the counselor, Ms. Ross, will determine how to use the funds to best meet these students’ needs.
